yeah when your rank is low you can rank up just by doing the puzzles normally. but if you quit or use hints, it will still go down. (it's more likely that you'll give up or quit the game rather than actually spend an hour...)
Wish the system for telling you what ones are correct we from your own attempts, having to look at the “clues” left and trying to figure out what is wrong sucks. I keep having to hint my way through it and it’s frustrating, only got a few levels down after an hour and now I have a headache.
Sounds like a you issue, the clues always have enough pointers to show the answer clearly, it is not a puzzle for no reason afterall, where is the fun in playing with something even a toddler can figure?
There's a few mechanics in-game that can help you jot down your findings during a puzzle, most significantly the peg markings and the bug holograms -- these are mainly talked about in the 2- and 3-peg tutorials!
There's also "unconventional", yet super effective ways of using these mechanics which the tutorials don't tell you. The peg markings for example can help a lot with figuring the colors out, and therefore can save a ton of the headaches!
In either case, don't beat yourself up about it too much, as it does take some time to get used to the puzzles! 5-pegs for me took more than an hour the first times I've played them, but got it down to about 10 minutes total eventually. Even with that in mind however, try to keep away from the game if you're feeling tired -- the harder ones can easily become psychological torture sometimes!!
I am stuck on the 4pegs puzzle, I don't know, it just doesn't make any sense to me, i even tried to explain it to an IA to help me get through it (I KNOW ITS BAD, I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY IS IT SO HARD), and even the AI got it wrong, i can do the tutorial and the 3pegs puzzle just fine, but the 4th one just doesn't make any sense to me.
I like the game, the dialogue, the interactions with them are just gold, it's just being stuck on the puzzle that you don't even understand why you're failing is frustrating.
Well, it's a little harder to do, but you'll eventually get the grasp of it, but don't feel like you need to rush on it. It is a big learning curve after all, going from 3 pegs to 4 pegs :D
4 pegs aren't too bad. There's a few strategies to start them and once you've gotten a few eliminations the rest tends to go pretty smooth.

In our first hint, we match this condition, so we immediately know we have a red in the final answer. We don't really know how many just yet or where they are though.
Because we know we have a red, we can now look for clues where one red satisfies all the dots / hearts. Since we know we have a red, the fourth clue can't contain anything else, so we eliminate blue and purple. The last clue also has a red and a single heart, so we can eliminate green as well. So mark all blues, greens, and purples out of the board.

At this point we already know for certain that we have at least two reds because we eliminated everything but red in clues 4 and 5 and the hearts indicate that the red is in the right place both times. Since there are two different spots that are correct between the two clues we can conclude that position 2 and position 3 are both red.
Additionally, we eliminated everything in clue 3 except for one brown. Since that clue also contains a single heart, we know that position 4 is brown.
Here we can look at clue 2 -- we already have a red and a brown in the solution, so we know that everything else in here is wrong. Since the other items in this clue are an extra brown and a purple (not important, but we already elimated purple) we can go ahead and eliminate the possibility of a second brown.
So now we know that the last color can't be green, brown, blue, or purple. The only color left that our last piece can be is another red. So the answer contains three reds and one brown.
The only open position right now is 1, so go ahead and toss that last red in there and we are done.

Obviously not all four piece puzzles are going to work out this way. Sometimes finding early eliminations is a lot trickier. But once you get into the mindset of how to hunt for them it becomes second nature. So much so that it's actually kinda harder to describe the method than it is to actually do it.
hmm that's pretty a low percent for 9 hours! there's no real strat, you just need to meet all the characters, do puzzles and buy items in the shop and you'll get the ending eventually
I've come up with a thought about the game and a little theory as well, but spoilers ahead :3

After the Swap ending, whenever you play the game and do a puzzle, you play as Conciseness swapped You (Aka Abra), and if you choose to do a puzzle with Abra (You after the ending), you're basically interacting with yourself, as Abra became the player/you, and you're Abra.
That's actually right? Neat! (Also, you did a great job with the story and characters, I was genuinely emotionally invested into the plot and character growth)
the game crashes randomly when attempting to do a gold chest, one way i crashed is that i pressed yes when a character is speaking and another way is by losing on a rank chance (although i have no idea if it's the rank chance that's the cause for it)
the options menu lets you lower the detail level, which might help! but the web version is a little less stable than the downloadable version unfortunately

The song "The Last Christmas" played in my ears... The lizard and the dog still didn't seem interested in the beads... I basically never won any of the mini-games... :) The game occasionally crashes, specifically when talking to NPCs after losing too many times.
Is the new bit from the last update the one where the character has been taken away and you get a bonus coin, or is that just something I hadn't found yet?
absolutely no clue what could've gone wrong, but the game just froze as i was playing the stair minigame with lucario. no chests had been won yet since we kept knocking each other off, but when it was trying to count down, it just stopped

I'm glad you're enjoying the puzzles, I think they're a lot of fun! It's unusual for computer generated puzzles to be so consistently rewarding and interesting to solve, even after what must be thousands of them it still feels like I'm sometimes surprised, confused or have a stroke of insight when playing Monster Mind. I am a huge fan of nikoli puzzles (and Grovyle is as well!) I own about five of their books and love their dedication not just to inventing new puzzles, but to making their puzzles clever and fun. There is such a thing as a "good sudoku" and a "bad sudoku!" not everyone understands this

Two, HOLY MOLY how. How did you make this and keep your sanity??? It is wonderful and beautiful and the puzzles scratch that itch in my brain. They are complicated but are almost always not annoyingly so. Also the... "rewards" are amazing and a puzzle in their own regards 10/10.

I've had a few that really got me stuck for awhile! But the secret sauce is that i wrote a computer program that can solve these puzzles, and the game only gives you the puzzles that aren't very annoying for the computer to solve.

I love that you're a big fan of Magnezone! I love each character in a different way, but I always knew some would be more popular than others. Most people insist Magnezone is more silly than hot but... she can be hot too!! There is nothing sexier than seeing her with her circuits cooked after a vigorous session.
I hope you figured out the secret with the electric gloves which prevent you from getting electrocuted! Magnezone feels bad when she destroys your glove, she doesn't do it on purpose

hahaha wow that's nuts! if you're going for the second completion there's a slight different ending based on your answer to Abra's Question so you might play around with it. of course some people think there is only one right answer! but it's up to you 😀
All i can think of is what if an actual brothel worked like this, so basically before you have sex with the person you have to complete three puzzles each one reliving half their clothing the last one you get to actually get to have the sex

I have no idea if anybody is going to read this or not. First of all. It is clear for me to see that the game is well made. And maybe. Just maybe. I am the problem. I don't understand.
BUT HOW am I supposed to understand when the thing about the dots and the hearts give me absolutely NO CLUE where to put anything.

CLUES should be free any time you need them. I know there is a storyline with characters and stuff.
BUT WHY make the one character to give you clues such a CUNT(abra)

Seriously, this is an amazing game, and I am glad I came back to it after all these years. The writing, the dialogue, the artwork and even the good stuff being puzzles of their own??? It's all so good!!!!!! The ending made me almost cry, man. Thanks for making this. It's truly an experience.
I barely graduated high school, dropped out of college freshman year due to grades, and was fired from every job I had because I couldn't learn how to work. I started this game from the get-go spending nearly 30 minutes on each 4-peg puzzle. Abra was so pissed that she gave me a -2 rank, which I didn't think was possible.
However, all of that changed when I met Grimer. He/she/it/they awakened something primal inside of my dormant reptilian brain, and before I knew it, I was flying through 5-pegs in seconds flat. For the hell of it, I started grinding 7-pegs, if only to attain the godly praise of my husbando/wifey/goo thing (I needed to feed it expensive toys).
Currently, Abra is sobbing dismal tears of abandon. Partially because I'm just better than her at puzzles now, and partially because I said no to her eating my brain. I pray, if you ever make a continuation of this game in the future, please make Grimer or Magnezone the primary constituents. While you're at it, please add differential equations or discrete math puzzles, maybe even some simple puzzles to do with the equations behind quantum particle theory.
Argon, I have more admiration for you than I do for my biological parents. For this magnum opus of an experience, you get platinum-tier afterlife access. They LITERALLY REBUILDING the Garden of Eden for you, as I type this. Thank you so, so much for helping humanity, and I, realize that with the power of Poké-smut, truly anything is possible.

That'd be interesting to have an open-source sort of thing for this Monster Mind. I've really loved the characters so far and have always wanted to see some new 'mons that aren't in the game
It's such a classic, I love everything about. On top of it being a decent puzzle on its own, it's a steamy hot NSFW game (the dialogues throughout it really help build the mood), the characters are well-written and there's an actual plot that breaks the 4th wall, and the ending almost made me cry a little C;
I would imagine this must've took a long time, but I gotta say you have a great artistic mind, and I hope you make something as beautiful in the future.

my brain... hurts, this game is so good! three pegs? easy four pegs ok thank you five pegs gives you a lot to think off but for gods sake seven pegs are ridiculously tryhard and in some way i like it, i enter for pokefilic things but I love these puzzles :3
i feel like abra enjoys the act of solving the seven pegs more than i do!! but they are certainly a tough challenge, my brain can't handle them. but at least they give you a crazy amount of money! think about all the mystery boxes you can buy!!!

I'm back on this game, and I was wondering what the modding community for it was like. Anything notable? Any new characters?
There are a few mods available on the #mm-help-n-spoilers channel in the official discord
Most notably, a mod for a new character "phoeboi" and a "super jizz" SWF which makes all the characters cum really hard.
Where do we put the mods for them to work?

Sorry about that! The web version seems to run really slowly and crash sometimes, but the downloadable windows version is a little better.

The game hasn't received any content updates in over five years! Just some small stuff like typos and dialog tweaks.

I am a huge fan of nikoli puzzles (and Grovyle is as well!) I own about five of their books and love their dedication not just to inventing new puzzles, but to making their puzzles clever and fun. There is such a thing as a "good sudoku" and a "bad sudoku!" not everyone understands this
A few things.
one, your game convinced me to make an account simply to comment this.
Two, HOLY MOLY how. How did you make this and keep your sanity??? It is wonderful and beautiful and the puzzles scratch that itch in my brain. They are complicated but are almost always not annoyingly so. Also the... "rewards" are amazing and a puzzle in their own regards 10/10.
Three, is there any possible way I can sell my soul to Magnezone?? I love my hot metal bug wife she deserves the world she is amazing. I will throw anyone under the bus for her and the only reason I wouldn't tell her about the sex toy sellings is because then she couldn't come around anymore. PUSH THAT BUTTON.
Four, none of them could screw in a lightbulb, especially not together.

I've had a few that really got me stuck for awhile! But the secret sauce is that i wrote a computer program that can solve these puzzles, and the game only gives you the puzzles that aren't very annoying for the computer to solve.

I love that you're a big fan of Magnezone! I love each character in a different way, but I always knew some would be more popular than others. Most people insist Magnezone is more silly than hot but... she can be hot too!! There is nothing sexier than seeing her with her circuits cooked after a vigorous session.
I hope you figured out the secret with the electric gloves which prevent you from getting electrocuted! Magnezone feels bad when she destroys your glove, she doesn't do it on purpose

hahaha wow that's nuts! if you're going for the second completion there's a slight different ending based on your answer to Abra's Question so you might play around with it. of course some people think there is only one right answer! but it's up to you 😀
All i can think of is what if an actual brothel worked like this, so basically before you have sex with the person you have to complete three puzzles each one reliving half their clothing the last one you get to actually get to have the sex
The harder the puzzle the cheeper the sex
It would be a good way to make horny broke people smarter XD
ha ha maybe! anecdotally, i think it would just make people yell at the prostitues about how their puzzles are too hard and the rules make no sense 🤣

I have no idea if anybody is going to read this or not. First of all. It is clear for me to see that the game is well made. And maybe. Just maybe. I am the problem. I don't understand.
BUT HOW am I supposed to understand when the thing about the dots and the hearts give me absolutely NO CLUE where to put anything.
And in my honest opinion.
CLUES should be free any time you need them. I know there is a storyline with characters and stuff.
BUT WHY make the one character to give you clues such a CUNT(abra)
No offense. But when I don't understand how to solve the puzzles this game become very frustrating for me.

that makes sense! i think if players have a "cheat" button they'll just hit the cheat button over and over and they won't play the game. but, maybe i should take it easier on the players. thanks for the feedback.
I decided to download it, and after putting in my save it gave me a little dialogue about coming back? AAAGH I can't!!
Seriously, this is an amazing game, and I am glad I came back to it after all these years. The writing, the dialogue, the artwork and even the good stuff being puzzles of their own??? It's all so good!!!!!! The ending made me almost cry, man. Thanks for making this. It's truly an experience.

Brother, you've awakened the beast in me.
I barely graduated high school, dropped out of college freshman year due to grades, and was fired from every job I had because I couldn't learn how to work. I started this game from the get-go spending nearly 30 minutes on each 4-peg puzzle. Abra was so pissed that she gave me a -2 rank, which I didn't think was possible.
However, all of that changed when I met Grimer. He/she/it/they awakened something primal inside of my dormant reptilian brain, and before I knew it, I was flying through 5-pegs in seconds flat. For the hell of it, I started grinding 7-pegs, if only to attain the godly praise of my husbando/wifey/goo thing (I needed to feed it expensive toys).
Currently, Abra is sobbing dismal tears of abandon. Partially because I'm just better than her at puzzles now, and partially because I said no to her eating my brain. I pray, if you ever make a continuation of this game in the future, please make Grimer or Magnezone the primary constituents. While you're at it, please add differential equations or discrete math puzzles, maybe even some simple puzzles to do with the equations behind quantum particle theory.
Argon, I have more admiration for you than I do for my biological parents. For this magnum opus of an experience, you get platinum-tier afterlife access. They LITERALLY REBUILDING the Garden of Eden for you, as I type this. Thank you so, so much for helping humanity, and I, realize that with the power of Poké-smut, truly anything is possible.

i don't have any updates planned, but other people in the discord are working on adding their own characters and stuff!
That'd be interesting to have an open-source sort of thing for this Monster Mind. I've really loved the characters so far and have always wanted to see some new 'mons that aren't in the game

It's such a classic, I love everything about. On top of it being a decent puzzle on its own, it's a steamy hot NSFW game (the dialogues throughout it really help build the mood), the characters are well-written and there's an actual plot that breaks the 4th wall, and the ending almost made me cry a little C;
I would imagine this must've took a long time, but I gotta say you have a great artistic mind, and I hope you make something as beautiful in the future.

my brain... hurts, this game is so good! three pegs? easy four pegs ok thank you five pegs gives you a lot to think off but for gods sake seven pegs are ridiculously tryhard and in some way i like it, i enter for pokefilic things but I love these puzzles :3
i feel like abra enjoys the act of solving the seven pegs more than i do!! but they are certainly a tough challenge, my brain can't handle them. but at least they give you a crazy amount of money! think about all the mystery boxes you can buy!!!
