Releasing non-Flash versions

I'm currently working on hammering out the last few bugs and wrinkles to migrate Monster Mind away from Flash. The current "1.10.0-unstable" release is about 90% complete, feel free to try it out if you want a sneak peek -- but it isn't quite 100% there, it has a few bugs I'm looking into.

Over the next 3 days I'd like to port the game to Android, iron out the last few visual bugs, test all of the sex toys in the game. My goal is to have a final release some time early this weekend, so keep an eye out for it!

Geez! Never thought there will be a non-Flash migrate, but a totally welcome surprise. I love every bit of this game, characters, dialogues, pegs game, mini games(I'll beat you in scale game someday, abra😡), lovely session...

Last save there's only two mystery boxes left to buy, maybe this time I should be a crazy person to buy all 11 boxes...

Looking forward for playing again when the migration is done! Thank you for making this game, I really enjoy it!

how do you feel about the non flash version compared to working in flash with the Hexels library (forgot what it was called), is it easier/more difficult to develop?do you think it allows for easier expandability and fixing?

Holy hell, nice! I love all the stuff you make and even if this isn't anything new I'm still all for seeing this game in the hands of way more people!

Thanks yeah -- it was always a bummer having to give people instructions on grabbing the flash project projector from the wayback machine (!?)

It'll be so much better now that at least some people will just be able to download and play the game, and others can play it in their browser

I was really hoping to get it working on Android/Linux but it turns out HaxeFlixel isn't quite as cross-platform compatible as I thought! But I'll at least have the Windows and HTML5 versions up for sure~

Fucking excellent! A friend and I were talking just this week, wishing there was a non-Flash version so more people could check it out easily.

If you're willing to hear a suggestion, though, it'd also help if you added some tags to the game as well, because right now there's only Erotic and Pokemon. I'm a game dev too and most people find my stuff through tags like Gay, LGBT, Adult, Furry, Bara and NSFW (just throwing a few of them.) Lots of people browse those tags daily, I'm sure you'd see a lot more traffic very quickly if you added them.

The game is fully customizable as far as gender, and I'm not sure if tagging "Gay Straight Lesbian LGBT" helps anyone. But maybe it does?

I know people on some websites like NewGrounds use those kinds of keywords to block offensive content (e.g browsing porn without seeing gay stuff.) I'd hate to see my game blacklisted by people just because it has the option to play with male characters. Nevertheless I think I'll take your advice and add those keywords -- thanks so much!

Tagging it as Gay and Lesbian does help! I'd say LGBT would be the most appropriate descriptor, but when people search using the tag system they are looking for games that contain that kind of content — not necessarily games that are exclusively about it. So, you know, you'd have a lot of people who'd search for Gay or Lesbian, find the game, and be very happy they found it.

Itch doesn't have a blacklist feature (it's been asked for, but I don't think they want to add it) so that shouldn't be a concern for the most part. As a dev, though, I can assure you that these tags I mentioned bring in a lot more people than they could ever repel. The community of LGBT players on Itch is extremely lively.

Excellent, thanks so much for the feedback! I've incorporated the tags.

Awesome! Hope it can be allowed to add more content in the future~ ♡

Getting it working is certainly the first step! I've thought about adding more Pokemon but the game is sort of shackled by its password system, you can only save so much data. If I added more Pokemon they'd all forget who you were when you changed computers!

maybe theres a chance you could change the password system? make the new version accept and give out new passwords, but also accept old ones. or would there be problems with that?

That's definitely an option, increasing the password length to 24-character passwords or something like that.

awesome news! i look forward to having even more access to this game!

I can't wait to share it with you!
